Gabriella Carney

Violin, Domra, Balalaika

Gabriella Carney, class of 2018 and 2016-17 RME President,is a Russian and Post-Soviet studies major and aspires to go to law school. She joined RME in her Sophomore year and fell in love with traditional Russian folk music. In the ensemble, she started off only playing her main instrument, violin, but later on learned how to play the domra. One of her favorite songs is "Kalinka," a light-hearted tune.
